How to Prepare a Jewelry RFQ for Faster Sampling

A clear request for quotation helps a factory evaluate the right material route, sample method and production plan. Buyers do not need a finished technical pack, but several details make the first review much more useful.

1. Define the product direction

Share a reference image, drawing or existing sample and explain which details must remain unchanged. Include the product category, approximate size and intended customer.

2. State material and finish preferences

Tell the supplier whether the project should use zinc alloy, copper, stainless steel, 925 silver, natural stone, acrylic or resin. Add plating color, surface texture and allergy-related requirements where relevant.

3. Provide quantity and target market

Estimated quantity affects tooling, unit pricing and packaging. The destination market also helps the factory review labeling, testing and shipping requirements.

4. Explain branding and packaging

Include logo position, hang tag, barcode, SKU label, inner bag and retail box requirements. Packaging should be reviewed with the product sample rather than added at the end.

5. Confirm the approval path

Ask what will be approved before bulk production: dimensions, finish, color, logo, packaging and any required test references. A documented approval path reduces avoidable changes later.

For a faster reply, send one organized RFQ with product references, quantity, materials, packaging and destination details together.
